Back from the castle

Welcome Home!!
My TAH was Wednesday and I got home Friday night. The dr. was able to leave both my overies!!! The only problem I had was that I guess I am a "bleeder" so when he started to sew me up, I was bleeding a lot so he had to use staples. Surgery took 1 hour and 45 minutes and I was in recovery for 2 1/2 hours.
Don't forget to take shower stuff. I took a shower that next day and was able to shave my legs!!!!

Wow! You and Jean are my heros. Being home in two days, then being able to conduct a somewhat "normal" day (checking email, walking around some, etc.) are my goals too. One question, though: Are you able to bend over at all? I sure hope I can pick up my little dog to get her in bed with me...she weighs about 8 lb. If not, my DH is going to be VERY busy coming back & forth to the bedroom. Got to have my bed buddy. Keep on the mend. As others have said you give us January princesses hope for our upcoming surgeries being easy.

I am sure that you will do fine!! As far as bending over, that may be somewhat difficult for the first few days. Although on my 2nd day, I was able to somewhat shave my legs in the shower. I can bend over, more to the side inside of straight down (if that makes sense!). They had me sitting up on the side of my bed the morning after my surgery (like 2am) and up walking that day. Recovery is NOT as bad as I thought it would be!
