Lower Back Pain

I'm so happy to hear the reports of back pain going away after surgery. That's what I'm shooting for . I have back issues anyway, but both my physical therapist and my back Dr are convinced I'll feel MUCH better after the hysterectomy. My uterus is enlarged (forgot to ask how big) and my back pain is excruciating just before and during my period. My PTist has been saying from the very beginning that she felt there was gynecological reasons adding to my back problems. I've done so much better since my back surgery last year except during my period. That makes it kind of obvious that there's a connection. Over the past few months the monthly back pain (not to mention the menstrual cramping) have become much worse and now I hurt all the time. So, I have 3 more weeks to wait for my surgery and I'll come back and post about what happends to my back pain. At the very least, I'll get rid of the daily uterine cramps and the horrible periods, right? Oh, and for those of you who get the pain down your thighs...that's nerve stuff. It's either sciatic nerve or femoral nerve depending on where the pain is (just an FYI).

upper thigh pain

hi girls,
the upper thigh pain I get during (and right before) my period is on the front of the leg. Do you think that would be nerve pain? I thought it was from the uterus pulling or something. I can't wait to hear if the back pain disappears after surgery/hyst. I hate the lower back pain, Right now, my back is so bad and I am midcycle. What the heck? And I have a cyst on the right side that is so bad it even hurts when I laugh, cough, sneeze and even pee. What is up with that? Called the new gyn to ask about meds and the nurse called my cell and left a message telling me to call monday when they are back in the office. Scares me to have surgery with them if they won't call back before the weekend for something like bad pain!! Yikes!

Hugs, Raymo
