What Am I Doing Wrong With The Site

Hi All,
This may seem like a weird question, but is posting a new thread where you can ask questions and all sisters read them? Confused... don't know where to go to see if anyone has answered my original posting. Don't even know if anyone read it?? Jan. 24th hysterectomy here. Anyone have a endometrial biopsy at their pre-op visit before surgery? Can you tell me what that is like. She said there will be pain. She is giving me some vaginal cream to help soften cerix and high dose of Motrin. Will I pass out? Very low pain threshold here... scared to death! Help!

I had an endrometrial biopsy last week at the doctor's office. I didn't have any pain meds or creams. It wasn't fun, but it was no worse than a bit of a cramp and a slight pinch.

Hi Pokerqueen and welcome! You're doing just fine with posting. You have your profile set for email notification, which means when someone replies to your question, you'll get an email with a link to follow to see their reply. Until you come back to the site and read their reply, you won't get more emails even if more members reply to your question, but once you view the one you got the email for (and any others that have come since you last looked), then you will once again get another email if someone else replies. I hope I didn't confuse you too much with that!

I had a couple of endometrial biopsies done in the years before my hysterectomy. I really didn't think they were bad at all - sort of like a pinch and then it's over. I took a regular Motrin, and didn't need anything else afterwards. Some ladies feel a cramp or two later that day, but it shouldn't be any worse than period cramps. I hope it goes well for you!

Never done any of it before.... doesn't sound fun....Guess if I do them I will be staying close to home!! Thanks sisters.... be lost without you!
What about bleeding after surgery? Having an incision in stomach, will I bleed much after surgery?

I had an endometrial biopsy in my dr office on Dec 29,2005. It was very painful for me, I started to bleed which lasted a week. I wish someone had advise me to take a motrin or something for pain, afterward it was like cramps.

I had no bleeding after surgery. Some ladies do have a bit, or a discharge.
As far as the incision goes, I was very securely stapled shut!
...With my endometrial biopsy it did hurt kind of bad--but just that pinchy, crampy hurt. I was in pretty bad shape when I had it done: my parts were in quite a state by that time! I dident take anything; no motrin or any other med. Wish I had! Nothing major to worry about though.
