Surgery confirmed today.......

My Dr. office just confirmed today that my insurance has approved my hysterectomy for the 30th. I was happy to hear the news, due to the fact that I wouldn't have this pain anymore, atleast not in this way. I was also relieved about nomore painful periods. But, I was sad, scared and nervous all at the same time. The word surgery is always scary for everyone, but knowing some of the risks and problems I might encounter, scares the heck out of me. The fact that I'm going to feel like I'm missing something everymonth, that's going to be weird. It's going to be an abdominal hysterectomy, what is the difference between the two?

Surgery confirmed today.......

Hi best wishes!!!!! My surgery is tomorrow and am nervous as heck!!!!! But I know I have made the right decision, so I have a bunch of different feelings, just like you........As far as the differences, I am not sure on all, but I know recovery from vaginal is a little easier and the reason for having one or the other depends on exactly where everything sits inside, so everyone is a little different, and I think it also depends on what reasons you are having it for!!!!!
Anyways, best wishes to you and good luck!!!!!!
