all went well for my first radiation treatment yesterday, the machine is a little scary but other then that the radiation does not hurt , they have fantastic team looking out for you and they make sure all your questions are answered. I have 22 more to go one day at the day !!!

I actually miss the rad. team and all the patients I met last year. It was a really pleasant place, and the experience was pleasant. Of course you'll find out about any side effects, but it wasn't anything awful. I rested lots.

I liked the big machine! I thought, man, who is smart enough to invent stuff like this, and what if I lived back in the 1800s and there was no treatment. I liked the long red lines like laser lights, and the robotic way the big machine moved.

Do you have a body mold to lie in? I did not have one, but lots of people did.

Glad all went well. Once that first 'anything' is over, and you know what to expect, things go a whole lot easier.
Keep up the good work! Remember to pamper yourself!

Please change the scenery

After lying down on the radiation table yesterday for the first time, nervous of course with this new procedure my eyes were wide open to see what was going on , I felt like a mummy with my arms crossed over my chest, then this monster machine started to rotate on the side there I could see on the ceiling above me about 4'x4' this awful colored flower wall paper in a frame I quess for you to look at some color other then beige paint while you are having the treatments , then I started thinking it would be nicer to have a Chippandale picture or the ocean with palm trees anything but the one already chosen by the time I was thinking of those changes the nurse said that is it for today Gisane that was the end of my day dreaming

Nice to hear things are going well, Gisane. I'm sure those remaining treatments will be over before you know it!

Besides - with this crappy weather we're having it's the perfect time of year to cocoon inside and rest up.

Hi Gisane, I'm so happy all went well at your first treatment, the "first" anything is always so scary. May the treatments move along swiftly. Pls don't forget to give yourself a little reward once in awhile.
