Body shape change?

I am interested to hear someone else tell me that their body shape has changed since hysterectomy. I was a very slim size 0/1 before my hysterectomy. Two years post-hyst, I am a voluptuous size twelve. I was 36 when I had my surgery, and had been slim my entire life. While my husband claims to love my new physique, I still am not comfortable in my own skin anymore...

Body shape change?

Hi there :wave4: I'm sorry you've been struggling with weight issues since your hyst

While I don't think that a hyst, per se, can cause us to gain weight, I believe that, for some of us, hormonal changes can result in a change in the way our body uses up food energy. I know that, in my case, it's much easier to gain weight and a lot harder to loose the weight I gain.

If you are concerned about this weight gain, you may want to discuss it with your doctor: your hormones or thyroid may be a little off.

Sending lots of s your way. Please, do keep us posted.
