Wow, you are awesome!

My last hospital visit, for the CAT, ran another UA, my chem and CBC. Normal normal normal. The two markers for kidney function; creatinine and BUN, were normal. there was a slight elevation on my WBC, but nothing extraordinary.
I think today I will be doing the same; calling doctors in the area, but I will be calling both Gyns and Urologists. I think that my Gyn is either completely blown away by my case and doesn't want to open me up again afraid of what he'd find(that possibly he screwed up) or that he is overworked in his office because he's got some bills to pay. I sat in in the lobby of his office for nearly two hours waiting for my appointment. Good thing I had knitting.
I hope that you can find some comfort too. It's snowing here in SLC and it's pretty outside. Everyone is headed up skiing. I will just knit. Darn. no not darn, knit. you know.
Yep, lets stay in touch, take care

Meg -
Two hours!!! Don't you just think it is ridiculous how long you have to wait?? I'm not surprised that all your stuff was normal. To me, that just reinforces the endo/adhesions stuff. I think you are smart to see a urologist. I actually went ahead and made an appointment with one last week and I see him on the 10th. It's probably jumping the gun...I really only called to check about whether or not I would need a referral and stuff like that and they were like, "let's just get a chart started for you, Dear..." so I was like..."Ok"
I figure I can at least ask them if they deal with Endo at all because it may be smart to see a urologist for it if it is on my bladder and ureters - that way if he knicks anything, he could take care of it better, maybe?
Good luck with your search today. I called my Endocrinologist about getting tested for that other autoimmune disease (of course I'm waiting on a call back), I faxed the gastroenterologist a short note asking for a suggestion of a good surgeon to do up high, and I, <gulp> called the old gyn and am seeing him tomorrow at 8:30. I figured that I would start with him to at least get the ball rolling and possibly get some tests done. I could see him being pro-active and ordering bloodwork and maybe a vaginal ultrasound and then if I don't think I want him to do any surgery, I can keep looking. In fact, I will keep calling others today, but at least I started. I feel like my brain doesn't work correctly - just tired and so worn out I figured I'd take a break for a while. If I get lucky, it would be awesome if the Endocrinologist would call back and order the bloodwork because it is done at the same location as the gyn. Would be nice to get it all done tomorrow...probably won't work out, but I can cross my fingers.
I didn't notice before that you were in SLC. My mom and dad go there often. They live in VA, but Mom is a genealogist and goes there to speak at conferences and do research. They just got back on the 19th after having been there for about 3 weeks and I think they were there for like 5 or 6 weeks in the Fall. Talk to you later!

Dear "M" your reference to knitting really sparked my interest! I am a beginner and it is sure helping me (a little!!) to focus on something beside my terrible pelvic pain. I am like you--tired of the word "normal"!! Tomorrow, I am parking myself in my gyn office and facing off with the doctor. I have "patiently" been through 4 --that's FOUR years of pelvic pain. Tests and more tests---no diagnosis yet.

Patient Patient

Make sure you take some knitting. It will keep your mind off of the wait, and I'm pretty sure it helps me with my blood pressure. My knitting has been my solace through this tough time. I can swear at it, toss it in a corner, rip it out, ignore it without ever feeling guilty. And it sure helps me relax. Find a local "Stitch and *****" meeting and you will meet wonderful friends, many of whom may have been through the same as you. Its very healing.
Good Luck.
