Happy hysterversary Darla! I was just able to start posting here too. Tell me about your repair. Did the Dr use any mesh or graft? How was the pain? Why did you have to come home with a cath? Sorry for bombarding you with questions but I will be going for my Anterior and Posterior revision soon.
Get well soon!

he didnt use any mesh or anything, they only do that if the first repair fails. i had to come with a cath because i couldnt pee on my own!i am now but am still having retention issues! it has been painful especially the more i am up and around. the first 2 weeks i was told to lift NOTHING at all and then for another 6 weeks only up to 10 pounds. he wants no pressure put on my incisions. i am still spotting so you should buy yourself some pads.
i just hope this repair holds and i dont have to do it again! i was in the hospital for 3 days!

Darla,
Please give yourself plenty of time to heal - the only thing I had done at 11 1/2 weeks was walk the dog and my repair failed - so please take it easy. I hope your retention issues are from swelling and will go away on their own. Hugs to you.

Darla,
I'm glad to hear the surgery went well. Sorry that you are happy to be posting in this forum. This is certainly not a forum that I wish for anyone to be posting on as it means that our problems are ongoing. Anyways, I hope your recovery goes well and you won't have a need for this forum in the future.

Darla did you have to stay in the hospital for 3 days because of the bladder issues? My first Uro/Gyn wanted to send me home the same day after surgery. My new Uro/Gyn says it will be a one night stay.

yes partly and because he said he pulled me tighter together than most and that caused extra pain!

Darla,
How did they diagnose you needed A/P repair? did you have pain with this? I am just curious about the dx. Sorry you had to show up on the Road but I hope this repair will send you off an exit quickly.

Hugs,
Darlene
