Bone Pain?!

Hi All,
Has anyone experienced bone pain post radiation? My left tibia has started to have radiaiting pain form the knee down. My lower spine is beginning to hurt.

Also, my knees seem to have gotten creaky overnight and my feet hurt to walk on them in the morning. Could this be from the abrupt menopause? (TAH BSO 9 months ago)

I suppose the rads could have damaged the marrow in my bones. The other thing of course is CANCER HEAD What do bone mets feel like????

Bone Pain?!

Bone mets would be rare, but not unheard of. I have an idea for you: the breast cancer forum at the site I'm about to give you. I've posted a couple times and know some from when they were at another site. Breast cancer will mets into the bones and they could tell you, I'm sure. http://www.healingwell.com/community/

Bone Pain

I hear you sister beachball! I developed severe joint pain in my left knee. Of course, the first thing I thought of was radiation. However, the pain started 6 months after radiation ended. I went through 2 months of PT which didn't help much. Then unfortunately by walking up and down a flight of stairs I further injured the knee. I've recently had it looked at by an orthopeadic doc, who said that endometrial cancer doesn't spread into the bone.( She many or may not know what she's talking about) She proceeded to give me a cortisone shot which only made things worse. She suspects a torn medial meniscus and has scheduled me for an MRI. Anyway, what I'm saying is that I go in to have every little ache and pain checked out post cancer. This doesn't please the docs to be sure but I don't care. It gives me piece of mind. If you're having pain go have it checked out. Good luck. anna

Bone Pain?!

Margaret & Anna,
Thanks for your replies!

I went to the website that you recommended (Margaret) and thank you for the info. I have always realized that it could be BC mets, but the web page gave me other food for thought. I had Lymes disease a few years ago (overnight camping with the kiddies - thought it would be healthy outdoor fun ) and this page had me thinking about recurrent Lymes. A MUCH IMPROVED THOUGHT over recurrent cancer.

I suppose I need to haul my sorry self to the doctor.

Good Night!
