Feels like I'm gonna burst!!!!!

I am having my TAH on feb 17th. I have endo, adeno, fibroids, and enlarged uterus. I was just wondering if anyone else felt like their stomach was going to burst. That is the only way I can explain it. Anyone else have the same date as me? This website is WONDERFUL!!!!

Feels like I'm gonna burst!!!!!

amalooch-
I'm 7 days behind you. I think I know exactly how you feel. Sometimes I just feel like my abdomen is like a big balloon full of who-knows-what, and I can't wait to get rid of that feeling. Sometimes I'm so bloated I just want to scream. My hormones just seem to control the size of my body and it makes me me NUTS!!!

Feels like I'm gonna burst!!!!!

Hi Amy
I have the same date as you and I look like I am 6 month's pregnant! Sometimes it's not too bad and then I feel like you do that I could burst. My work colleague is 14 weeks pregnant and we are about the same size. I have been telling them I can't wait for her to look pregnant and me not to! I can't sleep its now 5.20 am and I have been up since 3.30! Emotions all over the place. I would vac but I'd wake everyone up - think I might do it anyway Ha! Good luck and we'll soon be rid of it and normal again. So many people says it's the best thing they've ever done. Just wish I'd been given a days notice! Take care. x

How are you coping with being scared?

Feels like I'm gonna burst!!!!!

I felt the same way before my hyst as you are describing now. My mother lives 2.5 hours away and had not seen me since my stomach began swelling out like a balloon. She and Dad came over for my surgery and Mom kept saying you look like you are pregnant with twins. I kept saying this is only morning, it get bigger as the day goes along.

Poor hubby kept telling me he didn't want to hurt my feelings but he wanted to warn me that he was afraid someone was going to ask if I was pregnant. I am a little sensative in that area, I have so much wanted to carry a child of my own and now I never will. There is a plan for everyone and mine didn't include a child but I can now go forward and be an inspiration to another's life in a different way.

My huge stomach went away before leaving the castle. I do have swelly belly but the swelling isn't as much as I was experiencing before surgery. I even prepared for an even larger belly by purchasing everything a size or two larger and now everything is too big because I was wearing my "fat" clothes before the surgery because of the swelling.

BTW, I came through the surgery with no complications and have hardly had any pain. I was actually released to go back to work at three weeks but am waiting for six weeks. I have a job that requires a lot of walking, lifting, standing, twisting, and ladder climbing.

I hope this helps.

Feels like I'm gonna burst!!!!!

I am happy to hear I am not alone! I feel 10 months pregnant and like the pilsbury dough girl. I am a day ahead of you, 6 days and counting. I focus on positive thoughts, and knowing that it will soon be over with and I will be on the other side of surgery. My back has been bothering me the last 2 weeks and assume that with the cyst taking over my body, that it is pressing on something. Good luck and God Bless

I too have been experiencing the same things as you. I just thought I was going crazy! I am so happy to know people out there are feeling the same as me. I can't wait to get this done and hopefully be feeling a lot better. My surgery is the day before yours and I too am counting down the days!

I am the same date as you are, and it is refreshing to read the same symptoms, at least I know that I'm not crazy. I too experience alot of back pain, and abdominal swelling. About 2 months ago it was as if I was 3 months pregnant, now I feel like I am 5 months along. I just cannot wait to get on the healing side of the surgery. I will be thinking about all of you.
