Passing bits of tissue

Hi Ladies,
I had a TVH on Jan 24 due to enlarged uterus, large exterior fibroid tumor, infection of the cervic, uterine prolaspe and adenomyosis.

I saw the dr on Friday and I was progressing well. But today, I began passing bit of pink tissue when I went to the bathroom.

Is this normal during the healing process?

Thanks for the support!

Passing bits of tissue

Hi Jan24, I don't know if it is normal to pass tissue after a vaginal hyst, I would recommend that you call your to find out for sure. Please let us know what you find out. Carol

I'm not a Dr. but to put your mind at ease it might be from the exam, if he examined inside you. You could still call and ask though. Better to be safe than sorry.
Hope that helps! Patty

There seems to be such a variety of things that are called 'normal' so I would call the dr to reassure your self.

Passing bits of tissue

Hi --

I had my TVH on the same day you had yours, and saw my MD for my first post-op appt. on Thurs. At that time, he told me that I might still experience discharge, etc., from stitches falling out and through the vagina. The stitches might not actually make it all the way out to your panties (they may remain somewhere in the vagina), but they can still cause discharge, etc., to reach the panties. He said this even though I had not (and have not) had any bleeding for 10 days now. HTH.

Passing bits of tissue

I had a TVH and passed a small bit of tissue about 4 or 5 weeks. The dr explained that it was some loose tissue that was left and still attached by the stitches. When the stitch disolved the tissue fell out.

It may be worth a call to the dr for your piece of mind though.

Passing bits of tissue

I am 13 days post op and about 3 days ago I started to pas pinkish tissue almost like an eggwhite. Over the last three days there has been a lot more of it and it has gotten more brown tinged. I was a little worried since I absolutely no bleeding post-op at all and was fine for the first 10 days. I have yet to call my doctor about it. Have you checked into it? I guess disolving stitches could be it. I still have a cervix though so I am not sure if that matters. There is no fowl smell or any fever so I am assuming this is nothing to worry too much about.

Passing bits of tissue

Thanks for all the good information. The bits of tissue have seemed to stopped. I guess I had some loose tissue from stitiches releasing that needed to pass through.

Best wishes to all in the recovery process!
