What's the BEST part of having this surgery?

I hadn't even thought about the no PMS thing. That rocks! Only bad thing about that is I can't use PMS as an excuse for a shopping spree like I do now. LOL!
I loved reading all the responses as to the good things about having this surgery. Makes me smile and realize I did make a good decision. You don't realize how much of your life is tied to knowing where every bathroom in town is, living down the pad isle in the grocery store, replacing panties every few months due to the stains, never wearing white, never getting a decent nights sleep due to changing pads/tampons, etc. I need to remember those things any time I question the decision I made. Now if the doc would just schedule the darn thing I'd be a much happier camper. Hopefully she got the results of the biopsy and will call with my surgery date. Then the crossing of the fingers and prayers start while the insurance company makes its decision as to whether I "need" the operation.
Thanks ladies for being such a great support group. Its nice reading that everyone is feeling or has felt the same things.
Ready to go to the castle!!! Lets get this party started.

What's the BEST part of having this surgery?

You all have said it all, but I want to add my list:

No more bleeding.
I can take the emergency bag with the extra clothes and pads out of my car.
I can go swimming. I've actually been afraid that sharks would smell blood when I was in the ocean on vacation!
I can wear white and light colored pants and shorts again.
I can play 18 holes of golf without being exhausted and/or covered with blood. Also looking forward to feeling like walking the course again, and being able to empty all those pads and tampons out of my new golf bag.
I can make love to my husband again, and enjoy it. I'm just thankful that he is such a patient, loving man.
I will feel good again, and have my energy back.

I have to agree that I feel I will be getting my life back on Thursday. I, too, am looking forward to the 6 weeks off. I can go to my son's tennis matches, work on my scrapbooking, and take some time just for me.

What's the BEST part of having this surgery?

Sometimes you feel like you're the only one going through this frustration! I am feeling like I have made the right decision after reading everyone's posts. It's the days that I'm not bleeding that I wonder if I am making the right choice, but it seems to be confirmed when I am reminded of ALL of the inconveniences! The people at the drug store must wonder about me now... "Here she comes again, pale faced (anemic) girl wearing black, storming in straight back to the tampon isle, throwing (I mean slamming) box after box of pads and tampons in her cart, stomping back up to the check out line, avoiding eye contact with anyone (as I live in a small town)". They must think I'm some angry "goth" chic! Truth is I'm just trying to get in and out of the store without hemoraging on their floor! 7 days to go! Truth is, I could use the break!

What's the BEST part of having this surgery?

I will enjoy not contributing to Kotex's stock option plan. With the amount of pads (heavy and nite time), panty liners, tampons (super and super plus) that I have bought over the years, they should give me a job there!! lol.... I will enjoy not feeling dizzy from the anemia, being able to enjoy my partner whenever I want, no more (sorry not this time, try me in a week or two). Not worrying about not finding a bathroom when I go out. Being able to sleep through the night and not getting up every hour on the hour to change. No more clots and pain from the clots that haven't come down yet. And most of all, No more worrying what color my PANTS ARE!!
