2 week post op and good news!

I had a LAVH on 2/7 and went for my post op today....good news, NO CANCER was found on the pathology report. I had endometrial hyperplasia with atypia...had a D & C done prior and was given the diagnosis. Since I am 51 a hysterectomy was recommended. I found the most WONDERFUL oncologist through this website when I was looking for a doctor to perform minimally invasive surgery. He was so highly trained and skilled and confident of his abilities to do the LAVH! I can't begin to tell you how good I felt from the time I woke in recovery until now! The doctor explained that there was no more atypia because the period that I had in January probably got rid of the remaining lining that had caused it. That was really wonderful news. All I can say sisters is if you qualify for a minimally invasive surgery, look for a doctor who is trained in this type of procedure...you will not regret it! I am going back to work part time on Monday and I drove today and it was glorious!
