Pre-op Appointment

I'm afraid to ask but what is this bowel prep you keep talking about? I may run and hide if my doc recommends it. It sounds absolutely awful.
And to think I was only concerned about whether I should buy new panties (granny panties-yuck) since mine will be a TAH and I wear bikinis. Guess after BP it wouldn't really matter what type of undies you're wearing. LOL!! BTW, are granny panties the best thing even if they aren't the most fashionable things in the world?

Smilinfaces

I just came from the store and picked up my phosphasoda. Guess what??? They have a NEW flavour. Ginger Lemon. I love ginger lemon tea. Maybe I can add some soda water and make a martini for myself.... I'll have to give that some thought.

Pre-op Appointment

Hi Wendy68. We have the same date. I have to do clear liquids the day before too. Ugly drink at 11 am and then I can have clear broth for lunch and jello for dessert. I bought 6 flavours of jello...

I can drink and eat my jello up to midnight. Nothing to drink (even water) after that. She did say I could brush my teeth in the morning of surgery if I don't swallow it....

Just as a joke I should have asked if clear liquids included a fine bottle of Chardonay!
I wish you well all the days before your surgery and the day of!!!

nulytely bowel prep

YUCK!!!! I've been told this stuff is nasty!! I'm dry heeving just thinking of it. I'm having a TVH April 4th. I was told that if i eat light all weekend and then drink this stuff by 2 pm I'd have no problems....i'd be all "clear." Yeah right!!! Then I also have to have clear diet & jello for the rest of the day . But don't they usually want you to stop eating & drinking 12 hours before surgery?? Just wondering because I go in at 5:30am surgery is @ 7:30am and thats not 12 hours?? i duno I'll have to ask the preop nurse on the3rd!! Barbie
