Home from the Castle

Good Evening,

I got home today about 3:15 pm. Things went fairly well. I bonded with Peggy the Pee bag, and took a couple walks with her to. I talked to my surgeon before going in, and asked that if he could save one of my ovaries, to please do so... originally we were going to take it all... I just wanted him to know that if at all possible, save one of mine...well after come out of my deep sleep, I saw him standing over me, and the first thing out of my mouth that I can remeber is "Did you haev to take them both", and he replied, Yes I'm sorry. Then I don't remember anything after that.

I woke up later, and I was shown pictures, and given explainations of everything. I had endometriosis pretty bad, I guess it ate holes in my ovaries in two spots?.! Never heard of that before, and I haven't actually read into it, but will soon. I also had some adhesions that he had to remove. Things were just stuck to other parts and he had to remove that too.

After waking up, I was shaking so badly, and my teeth were chattering. They put loads of blankets on me, and when I got back to the maternity ward (Yeah, go figure) I got a semi-private room in the maternity ward...which I found out is where they put post op women who've had 'female surgery' .

My room was great... staff was wonderful. They all made me feel comfortable and at home (as much as possible).

I did have a low blood pressure problem for about the whole day of surgery, and into the next day. Believe it or not, I had a pressure of 78 over 47... WOW! I thought I was going to have to stay another day, but thankfully after he took me off of that morphine pain pump, and I was able to keep food down (had thrown up earlier)... my pressure went up

So all and all I did good. I had a couple emotional breakdowns... cried before my hubby left, and cried when I moved from gurney to op table... They took good care of me, and I'm glad to be home.

For HRT, I'm using a patch. It has both Progesterone and estrogen.. I believe it's Clamara? <--SP You'll have to fogive me because I am under the influence of drugs (legal ones tho) ha ha ha

My belly is really sore and my back too. I had the LAVH and a BSO, and I and soooo happy with my decision and I know I'm going to live a happy and pain-free life!

Thanks for all of your support!

Twizz

P.S. I enjoyed being pampered...and all the pretty flowers I received! I'm a princess now!!
