Surgery Less than one week

I was wondering if anybody, like me, has had long-term abdominal and lower back pain without anything obvious showing up on scans? I have what I refer to as "attacks" a couple of times a month where the right side of my lower back seizes up like a vice, it kind of feels like a contraction, only it doesn't let up. Two years ago, it was so bad, that it took my breath away and I was rushed to the hospital. My gyn did a exploratory lap and cauterized two nerve endings, which seemed to help the severity of these attacks, but they have gotten so much worse lately.
I consider myself to have fairly good pain tolerance, but if I bend down at the waist or even stretch my back a little, it hurts. Anyway, I'm scheduled for a hysterectomy for March 8th--she's also going to take my ovaries. I'm not the least bit worried at this point because I'm looking forward to being relatively pain-free after recovery.

Wendy,
Do you know how big your cyst is?--I'm assuming surgery is the only option to get that sucker out. When are you scheduled to have surgery?

Wow! 10 cm is significant. It's amazing that you are able to function on a daily basis. Just think about how much better you'll feel after everything's out and over with. You'll be in my prayers too!!

I feel for you all. I have surgery on the 9th and I am getting a little worried. More so about my family funtioning with out me than me. I have a fibroid that is 7mm and the dr said that because of that one, she could not see anymore but is sure that there are more. I just want to be out of constant pain. Good luck to all of you ladies.
