Had Myo on 1/26 now sched hyst 3/10!

I'm really down and out now. I had a myomectomy on 1/26 and yesterday I started bleeding (more like hemorraging) with huge clots following. I am in so much pain that I took 3 Percocets and it STILL didn't take the pain away. Now I'm scheduled for a hysterectomy next week!! My plans for having another baby has gone down the drain even though I'll be 40 in August, my new hubby wants a baby of his own. I can't believe this--I was scheduled to go back to work next week!! So now I guess I have to continue depending on my disability checks!
I think I need a nap--toooooooo depressed.

I'm sorry you are having such a difficult time and facing surgery next week. I imagine you must feel very overwelmed and shocked. We are always here for you anytime you need us! I pray that everything works out for you and I am, truly sorry.

I am so sorry to hear your news but I am having the same similar symptoms as you. I had a myomectomy on 1/25/06 and I bled for 2 weeks after that. I started back bleeding on 2/21/06 until present and I went to the doctor and he stated that I still had fibroids and recommend a hysterectomy. I felt like I went through the first surgery for nothing because I am still having problems. I am 28 years old with 2 kids and he said for me to think about it first b/c I am still in childbearing age and if I don't want any more kids the hysterectomy was my only option. So I know what you are going through, but I am going for a second opinion just to make sure this is the right decision. I hope all goes well and god bless.
