learn from my mistakes

well I hate to say this, but I am an idiot. I was having alot of itching with my meds, a little allergic reaction, nothing to serious, but aggrevating none the less. I decided to juggle my meds around alittle to see if it helped with the itching and stomach ache that I have been having since taking them. It seems that I juggled too much and didnt overlap them and the worse pain I have ever felt kicked in and put me down, back to the castle I went, ended up getting a shot of morphine, which eased all pain, and a reprimand from the doctor. I have been given a new med to try for the pain, and have learned a valuable lesson as well. So please all of you getting ready to go, take all meds as directed, if you have a reaction to them, call doctor and get new ones before stopping or juggling them around. I had to learn the hard way......

So sorry you had a problem, but glad you are on some better meds that help you now.

I agree, if we have a problem with anything post-op, give the dr a call, they are familiar with a lot of what we go through and know how to handle things better than we do.
