I also like the Marcus Didius Falco series by Lindsey Davies - a 1st century Roman version of Philip Marlow.
I haven't heard of this but I will make a note and look next time in town, sounds interesting.

I just finished Homeport by Nora Roberts. I enjoyed it. This was my first book by her (bought it at a yard sale ).

I am now reading one by her called Birthright.

I also bought 2 in Walmart the other day (Hard back--on sale!!) by Nora Roberts writing as JD Robb. Divided in Death and Remember When.

I tried finding some of the series she has written in Walmart with no luck, they only have 1 of the books in the series. I guess I will be going to the bookstore for those.

I enjoy the way she writes. Easy read for those that have busy lives and can only get 5 minutes here and there to relax.

I didn't read the post you wrote until now. All I can do is shake my head and say Praise the Lord!
Dr's have been given a gift from God for what they do. The Bible also tells us many times to "get up" "go" a act of doing. We are doing when we have prayed and just know surgery is what needs to be done. God is there for us and will be till the end. Just because a miracle wasn't performed on us in this capacity doesn't mean there aren't miracles!

I pray for my 19 year old sister who is a Wiccan. She just doesn't know. I tried to speak to her a few years ago and now she won't talk to me...

Keep sharing!!!

I just started reading Remember When the other day _ I am almost finished.

I enjoyed Dan Brown's books. they were interesting books - the Da Vinci Code also generated more talk, books, movies, tv specials than any other work of fiction.

Not out on DVD yet....BUT Little Miss Sunshine.....I loved it. Anyone else see it? what did you think. I also really enjoyed TransAmerica , both road trip movies. They were really about the emotions and attitudes etc...the road trips were used as the back drop rather than the "theme " of the movies . Both were pleasant supprises as dark comedies.

Finally saw this parody of Little Red Riding Hood (need some red smilies and these were the only ones there were!).

Very cool and very funny

Most of the humour was for grownups (sassy, topical, not sexy) but there was enough silly slapstick for the kiddies

I have this book but I could not really get into it. I may try it again. I was a member of a book club and it was sent to me. I think I will pull it out again and give it a try.

Karen Kingsbury and Nicholas Sparks are my favorite.

We watched Fun With Dic k and Jane last weekend. Very cute movie. I didn't think I would like it as I am not a big Jim Carey fan. But I didn't mind him in this movie.
