Hi, I"m new here to the board. Was really happy to find you guys here. I had a partial hyst in May 2003. Still have right ovary and falopian tube. Just here in the past 2 1/2 months are so I've been so weepy, moody, and oh how can I forget the ANXIETY. I have taken meds the last few years for depression/anxiety and once I find one that works, I usually do ok. This time, nothing seems to be working. Could I be having perimenipausal symptoms. I need some relief. I'm going crazy as well as driving my family that way, Thanks so much for allowing me to ramble, God bless, pinkeetoz

It is possible your ovary is having hormone fluctuations. I know before I had my hyst , I was going through pre menopausal symptoms with moods, hot flashes, and insomnia.

You might see your dr if you continue to have a problem, and maybe he can give you something to help with your hormones.

You might want to make a list of symptoms to share with the dr at your visit.

3 years post hysterectomy: Wondering if I may be peri-menopausal

I have been going through perimenopause for almost 5 years now.
I have mostly mild ( but some are worse) hot flashes, a few night sweats, FREEZING cold, dizziness, loss of eye sight, hearing, terrible memory loss, lack of concentration, insomnia, fatigue and at times bouts of rage and crying jags along with NO desire for sex and dryness. My sense of well being is gone. I feel like I am floating through day by day.
I teared up the other day at a dog show when my girlfriends pup won!
I also have times of (for lack of a better description) displacement. I just can't think properly.
I told all of this (what I remembered) to my GYN and he said that my hormones were all messed up and after the hyst he would put me on a low dose of hormones. I failed to ask what.
Get check as soon as possible. I didn't think hormones could cause all of this and more! I thought I was just slowly loosing my mind. The fatigue and memory loss is the worse and I hope to be feeling better after being put on hormone treatment.

Best of luck!

Thanks for replying. I went to my ob yesterday morning and had blood work done to check for hormone levels and thyroid. Nurse said that it usually takes about 5 working days before the results are in. Now, I'm worrying that if they don't find anything relating to either two of those that I may really be going insane, please pray for me, thanks, pinkee

By the way my doc and I are going back and forth on different antidepressants. Seems all they do is make me feel even worse. I've taken them in the past, (just about every ssri) can't understand why they would effect me so badly now, I'm so scared, need relief soon, pinkeetoz
