magnesium citrate and fleet enema

Hello Ladies
I have to take the magnesium citrate the day before my surgery and do the fleet enema the morning of my surgery. My question is I was told the magnesium citrate comes in strawberry and lemon does anyone have any recommendation on which flavor would be better. I really appreciate all the help everyone has offered and everyone taking the time to answer my questions.
Take care all, Happy ST. Patricks Day

I did the lemon for my LAP... I put it in the freezer for three hours and chugged it, chasing it with water....I think for me it was a pshychological dislike I had for wouldn't have mattered if it tasted like cheesecake, I wouldn't have liked it....

Good luck and I hope your surgery goes well.

I would choose whichever tastes like the fruit you like less! Not that either one tastes any better but I love strawberries more than lemons and wouldn't want that assoiciation.....especially with summer around the corner and lots of strawberry desserts in my future! Just drink fast!

Didn't know there was a strawberry flavor. I held my nose as it went down and continued to hold it as I started drinking my water. There is no easy way...I shudder again to think about it.

I'm dreading it, I had to drink that phoso stuff back in Nov for a lower GI, it was lemon I mixed it with sprite remix. Yeah I called Walgreens and she told me they had strawberry.

I mixed mine (lemon) with apple juice, chilled it real good, and then held my nose as I tried to chug it down. Unfortunately I'm not a chugger. I think it doesn't matter much what flavor you get because it's pretty nasty either way.

Boy have I had lots of these to drink in the past!! The only thing I've found is to mix the lemon flavored one with some sprite or 7up and drink it cold! Didn't know there was a strawberry one and don't think I'd want it! Hang in there baby!!

The lemon one isn't bad. I put it in the fridge for a day and then mixed it half and half with diet sprite. Then chased it with TONS of water. Make sure you mix it real well before you drink it though because you'll hit a spot at the bottom of the glass that is much like when you sip a margarita with a straw and you hit the tequilla at the bottom of the glass. Its quite the zinger if you know what I mean. BLUCK!!! Within an hour I didn't really care what it tasted like because I was sprinting to the bathroom. LOL!
Good luck.

at least that what you can mix it with 7-up or something else. The strawberry probably won't even taste close to strawberry. Be happy they are having you do this instead of that nasty Go-Lytley stuff. Have to drink a jug of that and it is nasty, very difficult to get down.

So it is okay to mix this stuff with sprite, apple juice or 7 up. I have it in the frigd. right now.
