How Do I Calm Down?

That bag sounds really cute...okay I'm sold. I'm going tomorrow!! I haven't been out shopping in a while. When I do, I always find things for everyone else except myself. It's ME TIME tomorrow

How Do I Calm Down?

The thought of not having any more babies was the worst part of the whole thing for me. (I have 1 son.) I finally realized I was grieving for the babies I wouldn't have. I thought I had worked myself through it before the surgery, but ended up crying at the end of Scrubs last night after seeing Carla so happy to announce she was pregnant. I also tried having a glass of wine about 2 weeks after surgery- it just made me cry. Since then I am afraid to drink any alcohol. At least I'm not as torn up as I was before surgery- right now anyway.... Before my cone-biopsy my gyn gave me valium (for the night before and morning of). It knocked me out. I switched to a gyn/onc for the hysterectomy and he gave me Xanax for the week before. I was able to function still on that- I went to work. I don't think I could have taken the week before off even if I had the time available- just more time to think about it. I think part of what has helped me emotionally is coming to terms with it- by going ahead with the surgery I could ensure that I didn't have to worry about more cancer which meant I could be here for the child I do have.

I wish you ladies well. Time heals

a coupla glasses of wine is ok, every once in a while... geez, I think a half a bottle of tequila is fine... every once in a while...

The thing is, it never makes something wrong, right.
if something is wrong, it just makes it even more wrong...

The nerve pill can help, but it won't fix anything. use it to help you find a place that you can find peace.

I sure hope you feel better.. run a bubble bath, put on some Janis Joplin, light some candles, and relax, or cry... but maybe leave the wine until you feel a little better. thats what I think, I wish you the best, and a hug..!

How Do I Calm Down?

I hope things start getting better for you. I don't know how I'm going to handle my emotions after my hyster.
I'm naturally an emotional person.Yesterday a friend made me chamomile tea. It really soothed me and calmed me down... for the moment. I too enjoy wine... my favorite is merlot but I only have it every once in a while because I'm already tired and the wine makes me sleep like I'm in a coma!! This is only after ONE glass!!
Take care
