Well not so fast. My ekg if that is what it was called showed left ventrical issues. No electrical something or other so I was sent to cardiology and have further testing Echocardiogram and nuclear stress test (Adenosine) next tues. morn.

Why me now I have that to contend with. Not a happy camper right now. Wonder if the surgery will still go through as planned.

Ready to pull my hair out

Sorry to hear you have to go through more testing but at least they are being thorough. This way you will know everything is okay....better to clear it up now than have a problem during surgery.
I will keep my for you and think positive about your results.
Here's a BIG for you as well.
Just remember, as frustrating as this all is.....they only want to be sure that you are okay and won't have any more problems to deal with.

Hi (((Midwest))) I'm so sorry you have an additional worry on top of the hyst. Don't you just hate it when life hands you more lemons! One can only drink just so much lemonade. :O Anyway, I am glad that they are thorough but I sure understand your disappointment. Well, then it must be time to have a pity party. THe fun kind! Go out with some friends and shoot some pool (cause after your surgery you won't be bending over for awhile) go swimming, (cause you're not gonna wanna do a whole lot of that either) go do something that you know you won't have the chance to do for awhile and have some crazy gals with ya. That will make the extra time at least fun. I know alot of HysterSisters thru a "Goodbye to Aunt Flo" party.
I think it would take your mind of this extra headache and give you a happy break.

I wish all the best for you and smooth sailing towards your hyst....

No problem! I know you and many others would have kind and supportive things to say for me if the roles were reversed.
in there and let me know how things turn out.
shera has good ideas about finding something to keep you occupied in the meantime. Do something for yourself....try to find the time....it will help lift your spirits a little.

Also....a little something to cheer you up!

Thanks all--my question is will they cancel or post pone my surgery for the 31st????? Who should I call to have this question answered. The doctor I talked with today who supposedly explained what was going on and ordered the test had the bed side manner of a ----just no words to explain how awful he was. Kept telling me that I must have heart conditions in my family which I have none. That I was overweight (25lbs)and because I smoked (tappering). That combined with stress in my life that I needed to change my lifestyle. **** I'd be ready for saint hood and there would be a lot of hell to pay by those around me. Just put me in jail.

Same thing happened to me. I had the EKG at my GP's office and they didn't like how it looked. However, I want to the Cardiologist the same day. They did a stress test and everything was ok. Try to hang in there. The stress echo is not a big deal and you'll get through that too.

Have faith. I'm praying for you.

Same thing happened to me. My EKG came back abnormal. Went for same test you are going for. Everything came back normal. Dr. said EKG on women are not accurate. They give a false reading often. My surgery is schedlued 4/3.

I hope things come out ok for you.
