5 weeks post op tomorrow - got the OK!!

Just had my post op visit with the doc and he did an internal and said he was really happy with the healing process. A few questions I had were:

Sex? yes

bath? yes

Pilates/walking? yes

work? yes

All in moderation and don't over do anything if I feel sore or tired. Also he said with sex to stop if I start to bleed and see him.
I also asked about my stiches and he said he puts in disolvable stiches.
When I asked for a pathology report and a surgery report he copied them himself, no fee. I will have to dissect these reports later.
I also discussed vaginal dryness and why I did not experience that, as many of you say you do, and he told me because I still have 1 functioning ovary/hormones produced is probably why.
I hope some of this info is helpful to some of you. Of course check with your own MD about your own situation, I am just so excited I got a clean bill of health I wanted to share. Hubby and I are going to the Cape Friday overnight and this news will make him VERY happy,LOL.

Yahoo !!! I am so happy for you. i will be 5 weeks this Thursday. Just returned from surgeon and gave me the same release info..sex has to wait another 10 days . Everything else okay..I return to work on Monday. I just went through my clothes and nothing fits.... Im really bummed. Will have to do some shopping this week..

Congrats on your "green light" to resume normal activities!!!!! But remember, you're not going for the checkered flag, so please do take it easy at first. It will still take some time to get those strength and energy levels back. Heck, I still get pooped waaaaaay easier than I did prior to surgery!

Go at a comfortable pace and enjoy!!!! You've certainly earned it!!!!

Congrats to you, I hope that your first intimate evening will be as good as mine was.

I am now at almost 6 weeks and got the okay on the March 15th.
