Will Aunt Flo Postpone Surgery

I can tell the way I'm feeling, Aunt Flo will be here tomorrow. Surgery is Tuesday. Has anyone heard of Dr rescheduling surgery because of this?

I haven't heard of that. I too am gearing up for a "visit". I'm going in for surgery on Wed. and was wondering the same thing. I guess the good ol Uterus is not leaving without a fight

I hope he doesn't post pone my surgery. This is my "3rd" visit from Aunt Flo in only 6 1/2 wks. I am so tired of her. I will not miss her one bit!!!!!

l wouldn't think your surgeries will be cancelled.From what l've read in other posts alot of sisters have had bleeding for several months and they weren't cancalled,but to be sure why not give your doc a call!Best of luck to both of you next tuesday

My period showed up the day before my surgery, very unexpectedly. I had just had my last one, two and a half weeks prior.

Called the dr and he said that it "wasn't a problem". Many women have non-stop bleeding, so it's a good thing it doesn't matter.

When I got to the castle, they gave me one of those lovely netted panties and a pad. In surgery they just cut off the panties and took away the pad. Next thing I knew, I was in recovery.

I asked my doctor the other day, he said it wouldn't be a problem.

I was in the middle of the heaviest day of Auntie Flo.
Surgery went on as scheduled.

There ishould not be a lot of reason for the doc to cancel it . The uterus is coming out anyway and with it all the bleeding.

Unless Aunt Flo brings on major anemia issues, you should be good to go. Do call your dr on Monday to verify. There have been a few ladies post that had their hyst postponded by their surgeon when their period arrived unexpectantly. But I went into OR having been bleeding for over 2 years, including 7 weeks after a D&C. Take care!

Thanks ladies for your replies. I definately don't want this SX postponed. I will call Doc on Monday and see what he says. Just knowing that it didn't postpone the majority makes me feel better.
