Home from the castle!

Hi everyone. Just wanted to post a quick message to let you all know that I am home, and am officially a
Surgery went very well - my doc used the term "textbook". Kept both ovaries as planned, however, she did "pop and drain" (her words...) a cyst on my left ovary. So, most of my pain at this point is more in that ovary than it is from the removal of anything!
PCA was great - had Dilaudin (sp) button instead of Morphine. Had an intrathecal injection (like epidural, onlt in a dif space in the spinal column) before I ever woke up, so pain was minimal until I quit the PCA this morning. Then we discovered the first oral pain med didn't work on me so good - wore off after 2 hours instead of 6. Switched to Lortab 10 every 4 hrs, plus 800mg Ibuprofen APAP every 6. That is keeping things under control, anyway.
Okay, more tomorrow probably, but for now, back to my couch, my water, and resting!!! (typing that just wore me out, lol)
