Stomach pain/pelvic pressure

I had my abdominal hysterectomy on 3/21/01, (grapefruit size fibroid pressing on my back), was released on 3/25/01, and readmitted to hospital next day for seven days for vomiting/stomach pain. They think it is combination of stomach flu, surgery and reaction to meds. I am still having severe upper stomach pain and nausea - very bad especially in mornings. I have an upper GI scope scheduled for May 4. I am on Prilosec and Levsin, but it doesn't seen to be helping a lot. Has anyone else had this problem? I am so discouraged and frustrated. Also, if I go to one thing during the day (short trip to store, etc.), I get incredible pressure up inside the vaginal area and almost like spasms. Pyridium has not helped. Sorry to be so whiny, but after 5 weeks and the complications, I have had it! I know I am in the palm of God's hand, but every day with the stomach pain and the tiredness, I wake up crying (which I'm also sick of doing!) Work is also a concern since I am going in the hole on my sick leave! I guess I just need encouragment from those that have been there! Thank you! God's blessings!

Dear Phyllis,

I am so sorry to hear of all of your pain. I can understand why to feel like you've had it. Have you been to the dr's in the last few days? If not, perhaps you should be making a call and setting up an appointment.

I know work is always a worry. Perhaps the dr could extend your medical leave. That doesn't sound unreasonable considering all you are going through.

I wish I had some insight to share with you. Have you tried posting on the Road Less Travelled forum? There are many very knowledgeable women over there that may be able to offer you a little more information.

I'm sending you lots of cyber ((((((Hugs))))) and will keep you in my prayers.
