Help, I've fallen and ....

does anyone have any idea what it would take to cause damage to your inside/stitches in there?
Yesterday, I was out on a wooden deck with friends, and went down the stairs, one of the stairs was not attached all the way, and moved when I stepped on it.
I fell forward and landed smack dab on my stomach. Did a belly flop of sorts!! My husband says it looked like I was sliding into first base!! My hands/arms slid on the wet grass, and down I went on my stomach.
I got up, and checked the gauze I wear for the bit of drainage I have, and there was a spot of blood...it turned out to be a scab had fallen off and the blood was from that area. The incision didn't split open as I was concerned about..but our real concern is for the inside of me!! How will I know if I pulled anything or ripped any stitches or set myself back in my healing?
I fell like three steps forward, two steps back.
I had babied that incision for so long, making sure I didn't do too much, and resting as much as possible, and now I go and fall on it like a big kid.
I was in pain for awhile that night...mostly just sore from falling.. I took a pain pill and went to sleep for the night, and have not noticed anything different since then. Would I have pain or notice anything different if I caused a hematoma or popped something in there?

I will call the dr tomorrow, but I feel foolish if it is nothing, and I'm calling with no symptons to complain about.
Do you think I did any damage?

I'm so sorry you fell I would call the doctor and tell your story. It's better to be safe than sorry. I've also worried about how would I know if I ripped anything on the inside? Good luck and please keep us posted.
