My last period ever!

Has started, and it's the first time in 25 years that it didn't announce itself with an excruciating boot to the belly (although it's starting to pick up speed now). Well it's too late, Miss Uterus - you're still out of here on 22nd May!

My last period ever!

Woohoo! Congrats to you!!!! I'm scheduled for the day after you....and I just finished what I hope is my last period, but I'm doubtful. It was only a quarter of what it normally is....and I had 3 in March.... so I'm assuming I'll have at least one more.

YAY that you have no pain! That's wonderful! Right after I learned I'd be having a hysterectomy...the pain soon began and I thought, "This is most likely the LAST time I'll be dealing with this!" Of course, I've had two more spells since then..just moving out of the most recent one.

I am sooooo looking forward to relief and I know you are too! Will you be celebrating your very last period? lol. It seems worthy of a celebration, doesn't it?

My last period ever!

I was thinking of throwing a 'Farewell Womb' party before going into hospital - making womb-shaped paper things strung together as wall decorations, but it seems like too much hard work somehow. I think I shall just sit quietly and gloat. I was expecting Auntie Flo anytime from tomorrow so had already started taking mefenamic acid three times a day to try and ward off the worst of the pain. I know tonight/tomorrow will probably be horrendous but right now I feel pretty good. Thank goodness I caught it in time - I'm wearing tight aqua trousers!

My last period ever!

I thought god was just playing a cruel joke on me. I started mine yesterday with an enormous pain. (Initially I thought it was from the pre-op work I had done yesterday morning), but alas, May 1st was too far away, he thought he would just remind me of the joys that I will be missing.

My last period ever!

This thread has made my day. I was really dreading June 19 and was having a terrible time thinking about it. I call it D-day. But I think I'm going to have a going-away party. And will definitely do a happy dance. My scheduled last dance with Aunt Flo will be sometime in June. I can't wait. The last dance is certainly something to look forward to. You'll keep posting, you'll don't know how much you help.

My last period ever!

I don't think I would say I looked forward to mine.... but I'm glad I won't be having anymore! I think I've had enough of being tied down with heating pads and not going anywhere for 3 days to last anyone a lifetime.

My last period ever!

I say AMEN to all of you!!! I wish most of the women wouldn't be so sad or scared about the surgery. I can't wait for May 8th. My periods have only been picking up steam the last year and show no signs of improving. It's gonna be one happy day to throw away my Ultra OB's, maxipads, extra strength midol and missing life at least 3 days a month because of pain and and the fear of messing myself in public.

My last period ever!

I started my last period at the hospital the morning of my surgery. Aunt Flo was trying to get in the way again. Good luck to you all.
