Recliner chairs work well too. I propped myself up on 2 large pillows under my knees and 2 large pillows under my head for the first week or so..that worked well too.

I'm naturally a stomach sleeper, so sleeping on my back for the first three weeks was hell for me. I've finally been able to sleep on my sides, but because my left side is more sensitive (the ovary that was removed), I sleep more on my right side. However, I'm looking forward to the moment I can sleep on my stomach! I think that I accidentally roll on my stomach unconsciously sometimes at night, and I then wake up in the morning extra achy. I jus try to be careful not to roll on my stomach while I'm sleeping. Looking forward to that great moment when I can sleep on my stomach pain free!
Are there any tricks out there for sleeping on your stomach?

Ugh. I couldn't sleep any other way except on my back! I am a side sleeper all the way. I kept a constant lower backache until I could sleep on my side. However, like someone else suggested, recliners are fabulous sleeping tools! Mine became my intimate friend until ye old butt started hurting from sitting! hahahaha Hopefully, you'll be sleeping in your favorite position within a couple of weeks. I actually had more trouble sleeping comfortably after my lap procedure last May.

I have found that sleeping on my side with a pillow under my tummy, a pillow in between my knees was the only way I can rest. I will say that my hips started to hurt after a few nights from sleeping on them. Honestly, since I don't seem to sleep anymore so matter how tired I am I don't what works now I am also looking forward to sleeping pain free on my stomach!

At four weeks out, I still can't sleep comfortably on my side - so I'm stuck on my back. I use three pillows behind my head and shoulders and another pillow under my knees - basically like a recliner. I'm hoping to go back to sleeping on my side soon!
