First I want to say that I am so grateful I found this site. It is fantastic. You women are troopers for sure. For me, I have a history of many health problems ranging from to depression to asthma and humor has always helped me cope. I call myself BooBooBum because my four year old son tells people I can't lift because the doctor had to fix a boo boo in my bum. I love to make people laugh and laughing is my number one prescription to get through life. I have an idea, can we share some funny stories relating to our hysterectomies or just plain life in general? I'll start:

Before the surgery, I bled continually. Non-stop. My son referred to my pads as "Mumma's diapers" I had company one day and to my horror my ferret pulled out a wrapped (unwrapped when he got done" pad out of the trash and was parading around with it on the kitchen floor. Of course the company were new neighbors! I was mortified but had to laugh. They didn't think it was too funny. Oh well I did.

LOL! That's great! If I were your neighbor I would have laughed with ya. Here's my funny surgery story. I had a "lap lookaround" 2 weeks before the actual LSH. So as I was waiting in the prep room the anesthesia dr came in and asked if I had concerns. I told him that I wasn't afraid of being knocked out I was afraid of waking up. See,my body fights anes. So he could go ahead and bring out the "Giant" sledgehammer and knock me out. He said not to worry and then talked about a few more things and we found out that he and I and my husb all playthe same online World of Warcraft game. (I am a hunter in this game) So what's so funny?
There I was being wheeled into the recovery room. Kinda drifting outta the anes. And the Anes Dr. is standing at the foot of my bed laughing his head off. So he asks me, "Now what kinda bears were you shooting with those arrows?" OMG! :O I had been talking all the way out of surgery about finishing some quest and shooting bears with arrows and apparently I didn't like the way my dr was rolling me down the hall cause I kept missing! lolol! Oh my goodness! Everyone in there was just cracking up. And I do remember "dreaming" about the bears. hehehe
