Frustrated that pre-op people can't respond to post-op people...

Let me first say that I LOVE this site. It has been tremendously helpful to me. However, I don't like or understand why we can't post in some of the message boards. My surgery is not until May 9, so I can't reply to something I read in the post-op board. That's bothersome to me. Chardennay (sp?) posted that she was upset because although there were many views to her posts, people do not respond much. I tried to respond to that & after taking 5 minutes to type quite a supportive paragraph to her it wouldn't let me post because I haven't had surgery yet. That's just silly. I read to post-op posts because they are helpful in what to expect. However, I do sometimes want to respon & it makes no sense at all that you can't. Am I alone on this, or there others who have had the same experience & been frustrated by it?

Ladies-in-Waiting...

Our ((((Post-Op Ladies))) who stick around the site after their surgery in order to help others frequently scan the Pre-Op Message Boards to see if there is a Lady-in-Waiting they can help! I know of what I speak...I have been doing it myself for nearly three years! So, to any who have questions or concerns about their upcoming surgery...please, post any and all of your questions in Pre-Op and we will be sure to help you!

Please understand that with nearly 100,000 Hystersisters (as of this date!) there needs to be procedures in place to keep the website orderly, to ensure that all members get the support they seek. The organization and administration of this very large website does include a few gated forums, which were set-up in that manner after much thought and consideration among the website owner and her staff.

If you are a Pre-Op member and wish to say hello or extend best wishes and hugs to a Post-Op Member, you can utilize the PM or e-mail functions, if that member has them enabled. And, before you know it, you will soon be a and you will be able to post all you want in the Post-Op Forum!

Many s and Best Wishes to All,

I'm guessing it's because the focus for both groups is slightly different because of the obivous. Are you able to send a private message?

There are a lot of post-op girls who read here, and I'm one of them. We try to offer help when we can.

I think there are restrictions set because there needs to be order. If they did start allowing geeneral posts from everyone on all board, moderating them would become a nightmare. It really does help to keep people on topic.

If there is something you feel really strongly about, send a PM to offer your support or comments.

I'm a post op girl who never reads here. You caught my attention with leapyear4. Are you a leap year baby? I am and you don't get to meet many leap lear babies in your life.

Hi Everyone,

I sent Chardenay a PM when I read her post (just to tell her I was thinking of her) Thats what I do when I can't give a message of support to any one who has posted on the Post Op board.
