Question for those who've had their cervix removed with TAH

I had a TAH with cervix removed, and just had a bit of discharge while at the hospital for the two days after. (really one and a half, wanted to go home). I went through the box of pads they had given me, but really, it wasn't much. probably just blood clots that were in the vagina and from the internal incision to close it up.

TAH cervix and uterus removed - about 3 tiny spots over 3 different days - that's it! Good luck and keep your pads just in case! =) Take care!

Question for those who've had their cervix removed with TAH

Well we really are all different, I had spotting for 5 weeks. It was like a discharge rather than bleeding and it just got less and less then stopped and nothing since. Hope you are doing okay, take care x

How'd you make out, LaShawn? I bled/more like spotted for the first couple of days and haven't seen a sign of the evicted visitor since. FINALLY!!!

Question for those who've had their cervix removed with TAH

Thanks ladies. Well, I basically had some spotting discharge for about 24 hours or so and then nothing except some leaking from the bottom of my incision, which the doc said was normal.

Question for those who've had their cervix removed with TAH

Hi,

I didn't have not even one drop of blood post op! I woke to no blood, no discharge, nothing. It's been like that ever since. Today it is 4 months for me!
when I asked my doc pre op, about bleeding; she said there shouldn't be any and to immediately call her if there was. I guess I was one of the lucky ones!!
