Progesterone cream for libido?

Hi All! I was wondering if progesterone cream helps increase sex drive? I have heard testosterone does the trick most of the time, but my doc says that since I'm taking effexor (antidepressant) that I would need a much higher dose than normal, thus producing worse side effects....so here I am, still trying to find a mircle to see if i do still have a clitoris! (sorry for being so blunt)
Thanks alot ladies!

Progesterone cream for libido?

Basically, no. In fact, high progesterone can lower libido. However, in my own experience, when my estrogen was balanced by progesterone, some of my libido came back as the water retention and migraines left. So, it's worth a trial, especially if you're already taking testosterone. It might tip the ratios into better balance.

But the effexor is probably the culprit. Decreased libido is less common with it than the conventional SSRIs but it IS a side effect.
