Football Sized Cyst Removed 4/12

Hi everyone,

My name's Jen and I had a cyst the size of a football removed 4/12. If you remember me they thought I had one the size of a grapefruit...well it was a little bigger. Actually the cyst wrapped around my uterus and moved my left ovary/fallopian tube to the lright side and vice versa. My DR removed the cyst but cut my bladder pretty bad in the process because it was adhered. So, I woke up with a cathader which just came out Wed. There was also a fibroid the size of a softball on the back/top of my uterus they removed but no endometriosis as they thought. I am going stir crazy too but I am starting to finally feel better. I had some problems in the hospitla and that was the most sick/scarey time of my life while I was going through it but looking back it wasn'y as bad as I thought it was going to be. I am not really in any pain anymore and I sure am heck not shy anymore! Anyone want to talk? PLEASE email me. I would love to speak to someone about this, like what can I expect next?

HI Jen,
wow, is your tummy alot smaller now? DId you keep your uterus? I was upset when I woke up because my dr took my uterus as we had planned but left my right ovary as well as the left. THe right one is the one I always get cysts on......grrrr.... Hugs Raymo

No, I lost my left fallopian tube, that's all. I had had several conversations with my DR and since I am recently married and 28 yrs old I wanted him to do everything he could so I at least had a chance to have a child so that';s what he did. He already told me I would have to go back in probably in a few years and have a total hyster. Nothing to look forward to. I am a kinda bigger gal, also they cut open my bladder because the cyst was adhered to it, was entangled in my intestines, flip flopped my organs, stuck on my bladder...basically it's been 3 weeks and I am still swollen but it is starting to go down. I've lost 15lbs last time I was at the DR's so I guess that's a start although right now I think it's because I don't really feel like eating.

This past Monday night I started throwing up. Can you believe it, on top of everything else I got the flu too? I was sicker Mon night and yesterday than I have been since I was a little kid. OMG! I was sick every 45 minutes for 8 hours!!!!! I am feeling 1000000% better today, thank goodness. Let me tell you though, I was in misery yesterday. Oh well, what can you do? Tomorrow I have another DR appointment so I'll see how much more I've lost. I can't imagine I haven't!
