Life's been good (& a little encouragment for early post-ops)

Hey sisters,

I haven't posted for a few weeks, but things have been going pretty well. I'm 9 weeks post op from a TAH (kept ovaries) and life is pretty much normal except for being extra tired and my ongoing friend swelly belly. If it stays this big any longer it's going need it's own zip code!

At this point, my only complaint is that my belly stays swelled and sometimes hurts when I really overdo it. I'm hoping that it will start to go down soon.

But I'll take that in return for no periods, no pain, no mess. And I've been generally feeling in a good mood despite being tired.

It was definitely hard and a struggle at times during the first few weeks, but it does get better! I didn't feel that way at first as many have said, but after 6 weeks life seemed so much more normal (even if it was a "new normal"). The weird sensations, the peeing problems, headaches, etc. have all faded away.

Hope everyone is doing well!!

Ursula

I'm glad to hear you're doing well. I've just started the swelly belly bit and would love for it to go away. My dh told me last night "it looks like you've gained 15 pounds"

I am 8 weeks into my recovery from a TAH today. I am feeling better, too, but the swelly belly definitely is hanging around. I get sore and tired at the end of the day (sit at a computer all day) or when I've overdone it, but I feel good otherwise. I'm glad to hear things are going well for you!
