Newbee question

I am unfamiliar with the acrynoms for the diffrent procedures, can someone fill me in? Also should I know what exactly were my reasons for the full hysterectomy? My Dr. did say all my pathology is benign and that I had an abcess in my right fallopian tube.
thanks for the help
