What are you reading now, and what's your next book gonna be?

Queenbee, I love Alexander McCall Smith! I just finished Blue Shoes and Happiness, the latest in the #1 Ladies Detective Agency series. It is sooo delicious! Now I am reading Francine Rivers' Mark of the Lion Series.I had trouble getting into it, but within 100 pages I became hooked. I am so glad I am still recovering and can read for hours without guilt!

I have just started Salem Falls by Jodi Picoult, can't decide yet if I'm going to lget into it or not. It's the first of hers I've read. Is this one typical?

Just finished "Marley and Me" by John Grogan. Wonderful story about a mischievous yellow lab and the family that loved him. I laughed and cried while reading it and then forgave my own yellow lab for eating yet another pair of my husband's underwear!!
For dog lovers, this is the book to read!!

The Labyrinth was a incredible book!

The 8 (or was it 8th) was another good one, if you like "clue" books.

I just finished Elie Weisel's Night. Sad and horrific do not even begin to describe it.

I need something a bit up lifting after that one so I am reading The last Voyage of Valentina by Santa Montefiore

Wiesel is an incredible person. One of the few Nobel Peace Price winners who really deserved it.

Oh, and by the way, a VERY good friend who knows my family history, love for black humor and sense of irony recommended Thane Rosenbaum's _Second Hand Smoke_.

Anyone hear of this?

i love to read!!! my fave type of book is true crimes. I am currently reading Helter skelter. I have tons of books so i am not sure which one i will read next. But if you want a book that is not really long, but will make you laugh, and cry, then i suggest the "sisterhood of the traveling pants" series. My daughter is 9 and she has read the first one. And i have read the 2nd. SHe is now reading the 3rd one. They are pretty good. Hugs all!!

I like true crime when it doesn't get to graphic.

My friends are so astounded that a serious politito type like me goes in for it!
