Back from Dr. Says unhealed spot at top of vagina not granulation, took biopsy, not

Ok, I went to Doc yesterday. What I have been told was unhealed granulation appears to not be so. Doc tells me that it is a nickle size raw, red area that is not on the vaginal cuff area. Doc took biopsy (Now I'm really worried) and said that vaginal cancer is extremely rare, but he is looking to see if the boipsy can tell us anything about the cells in that area. He also says that if this comes back with no answers, he doesn't quite know what the next step is. Said that there is a mesh that he uses to put over open areas, but this isn't open, just unhealed. He says that it bleeds really easily (which I already knew) all he has to do is touch it with a swab, and it bleeds. Has anyone out there experienced anything like this? My Doc is a well repected Doc, in fact he cares for the governor of our state. I have a feeling that he may send me to another doctor if the biopsy doesn't tell him anything. What else could he be looking for in this biopsy, besides cancer. Thats really frightening. I'm getting worried!!

hi

Hi,
I just wanted to give you some support. I truly believe the doctor did the biopsy just to rule everything out. When you had your TAH/BSO, everything they took out had a biopsy done at that time. So I really doubt they will find anything. Did you have that, I believe it is "nitrate" done to the unhealed tissue? I know I had granulation appear months after my TAH/BSO and one treatment worked. I'm sure you already had this done. Anyway, just wanted to let you know we are here for you, and this "road" is not easy! Good Luck, I hope you hear good news soon.

Gosh I hope the biopsy is clear for you - but I also hope you find out why you still have this unhealed area. It's not like you haven't given this plenty of time to heal. Let us know what you find out. Hugs.
