has anyone fallen?

hey everyone--do what everyone says and be careful going down stairs. i have been trying to be good and limit the number of times up and down--have been going slow, etc. but today i was talking on the phone and slipped on the stairs. came down hard on my butt. seem to be fine--just was quite the scare. i called the doc to be sure but jeez, be careful everyone!

staring week 4--and other than my stupid carelessness, i am feeling pretty good.

has anyone fallen?

I fell about 3 days after my surgery in January. I was taking my dogs out to their kennels (a beagle and a lab puppy) and I got stuck in the mud. My boots sunk in, and I kept going. I fell right on my belly. I ripped open my incision, but I was ok. Doctor was not happy though. Neither was huby when he found out I snuck outside to take the dogs out! lol
Take it easy, and rest!

has anyone fallen?

Ouch for all of you!!!
I also fell 2 months post op...on the ice, and twisted so I'd avoid the incision area and landed on my arm. Now here it is almost 5 months later and my arm still hurts, but the tummy is just fine!

has anyone fallen?

bettabetta,
Just call me Grace!!! I fell the other day about 18 days after surgery. We are true sisters, same date!! I was taking a pizza box out to the garage, barefoot mind you, and my heel hit some water from the dog dish, we have tile floors, and whoosh I was on my butt in a second. How I didn't land in the water dish is beyond me, and I have never landed so quietly. If it weren't for me saying "Oh MY", DH would never have known I fell. Sat there for a few minutes to make sure I was okay. It never hurt my stomach though, just pulled some leg muscles. I feel very fortunate about it. Well I guess a hysterectomy doen't cure clumsiness !! Here's to staying on our feet!!

has anyone fallen?

I fell in the hospital. The second morning the anesthesiologist changed the medicine in my epidural and it put my legs completely to sleep. The first stuff had not. I had been up and walked earlier and when the nurses came in to get me to walk again they helped me sit up on the side of the bed and I just slid off. Lucky for all of us it was a slow slide but it did hurt. Nothing pulled loose.
