Raised red bump at incision....

Hi, I am 5 weeks out and my incision seems healed on the outside, but yesterday I developed a raised red bump at one area. Has anyone had this happen and what can it be? Is there anything I can do for this?

Raised red bump at incision....

I am not aware of the cause but I would show the doc if I was concerned. Going to give this a bump in case someone else may have a better response.

Take Good Care!

Raised red bump at incision....

I have a bump also but probably different situation (my incision opened) but someone had said that it may be an internal incision coming to the surface.

But like the previous poster said, I would contact your Dr just in case. I'll be going to the Dr on Thur for my checkup and will be asking my Dr then - but do as I say and not as I do please )

Raised red bump at incision....

My incision was a little below the pubic hair line and I developed several ingrown hairs in my incision until the hairs grew back from being shaved.

Raised red bump at incision....

I had a raised red bump just below my incision, it didn't bother me at first then it started festering and opened up my incision. At that point it was pretty uncomfortable and irritating. The nurse at the office had me clean it really well with peroxide, then get in the shower to let the warm water on it. She said most of the time it helped to bring up a stitch that didn't dissolve right. The home remedy helped it alot but didn't take it away, eventually though it did go away on its own. My incisison is just fine now.

I would give them a call and see if they want you to do anything for it, keep an eye on it for infection, and make sure you don't start running a temp, but other than that it is probably going to be okay!!
