a little discouraged!

hi guy's,
i'm a little discouraged, because i know i am only 13 day's out but i have a pain on my left side witch is a familiar pain i used to have before my first set of embolizations.and my left was alway's the worst.
anyway i've also had a heavieness and ache in my lower lower abdomen,i was hoping was surgery related, but my mom came clean last night and told me there were alot of veins when they went in there they couldn't do nothing with and my pain will proabilly be still there because of them...i feel better in most other areas,
i don't see the doc until tommorrow, but i am really disapointed in my husband because he told everyone not to tell me..and i don't think it was to be considerate of my feelings, because he has told me for years he don't like me to take the pain meds ,mabey he thinks if i don't think there there i won't feel it . i don't know but every time i complane of where it hurts he says just give it time it's just the surgery, but it's funny it's only the worst in those places... i guess i'll wait until tommorrow and see what the doc says or not. if any one else has had the veins still be a problem after please contact me!! thanks guy's

I am sorry you are feeling disappointed. Maybe it is the veins, but I must say it is way to early to tell. It could very much be just from the surgery, and with time the pain will diminish. I wish you the very best and will keep you in my prayers! Discussing this with your Dr. is the right thing to do, but don't be discourage if s/he doesn't have much for you too. Your Dr. may give you the "wait and see" approach also. Take care and ((HUGS))

a little discouraged!

Hey Finnaly Free,

My R side of the incision was much more sore than my L side. Doc told me that they NEVER line up the facia or all of the muscles, nerves and whatever else just right. He also said, "it's very normal for one side to hurt more than the other."

Tell your doc everything and ask everything you have on your mind. You need an open dialog with your doc to get your best medical care.

Keep a positive attitude..... Some people have been told they will never walk again and do. The power of the mind is a very powerful thing.

Best of luck.

a little discouraged!

Hi there....just to let you know....I am almost 9 weeks post-op and still have pain on the left side. It is still pretty tender. Hopefully with time you will start to feel better soon. You have probably heard it takes up to a year for you to fully heal. So be patient and give it time. best wishes to you and take care. Things do get better.
