Quick update on my sister's surgery performed yesterday...

Hi all~

A very quick update....
My sister's surgery was a success as far as removing the tumors (2).
The DR did not place an IP port as the tumors were not located in an area where IP therapy would be of benefit. He is having drug resistant assay's performed again to determine the best follow up treatment for her. We won't know what that will be for 2 weeks.

I'll report back on additional information when I know more.

I'm off to the hospital...thanks again for all of your support and well wishes for my sister...

I'm glad to hear the surgery was a success. I know it must be easier (not that it's ever easy) on her having your support. I don't have any siblings, but you sound like a wonderful sister. Hang in there! And best wishes, hope, and prayers for your sister!
Love,
ChristinaLeigh

s Heni

You are probably a bit disappointed that she is not a candidate for IP therapy. But when Hopkins says no to IP, you must trust that it is clearly not an option.
I hope she continues healing without incident over the next two weeks.
And then gets ready to restart chemo!

Thanks for keeping us posted.
Hope your sister heals fast and that chemo zaps all the remaining cancer cells.
