Weird, I'm starting to get excited.

Hi all! I am excited too, but I'm PMSing this week (my surgery is on Friday) so I'm on a rollercoaster ride from h-e-double hockey sticks!
Excited one day, scared and teary the next.I'm packing my bag, cleaning, shopping and reading... anything to keep my mind busy.

Weird, I'm starting to get excited.

I know how you're feeling exactly!! My surgery is on the 16th (TAH)... Yikes! This is my last PMS cycle 2... no more emotional rollercoasters (after my hormones are balanced and I'm healed, of course), no more tampons... Wooohhoooo! I'm also having an umbillical hernia repaired and a mini-tummy tuck too. Maybe my tummy will be flatter!

Weird, I'm starting to get excited.

I realized yesterday I was a bit excited when I recieved books in the mail which i ordered along with dvd's for my recovery time. I also have been stashing all the magazines that come to the house that usually I never see until it's time for me to put out the recycling. I am so looking forward to getting to read uninterupted. I know that sounds nuts

As for missing my period, I've been on lupron for almost a year--i know it's not supposed to be that long but life happens--so I haven't had a period in a while, scheduling in a bus ride across town for the shot once a month, won't be missed, either. The way I am thinking about this--I will be asleep and when I wake up, it will be done!

And, truth be told, I've needed a valium before bed the last two nights so I could get enough rest to be functional these last few days at work.

But I will be happy to have this all behind me! Good luck to us all!

Weird, I'm starting to get excited.

Let's hope that we all can keep up with our good thoughts and stay calm as the days until our surgeries approach! Just knowing that we are not alone should help us all!

Thanks, I do have to still remember to take is easy and listen to my body. I figured I was working with gravity going downhill. It was fun but afternoon naps are still a must! Good luck on your recovery. This was the best thing I have done. I wish I did it sooner.

Weird, I'm starting to get excited.

My surgery is scheduled for early August and for about the past week, I have been midly excited about having the surgery. I had an appointment with a plastic surgeon today and hopefully he (if my ob/gyn will cooperate) will be giving me a tummy tuck at the same time of the hysterectomy. I think this website is awesome and has been a tremendous help to me.

roflmao... you know I have to admit that I was so exicited when my date came to have mine... I wanted to leave earlier just in case someone cancelled...
I hate the pre menopause it has sent me into, but it sure is great not having a period... now when its hot as heck and I want to swim I'll never have to wory about my monthly friend...
