Wow! All of a sudden I am a wreck!

I also am so nervous I cant sleep more than a few hours, eat and feel sick to my stomach every waking moment. My mind is in a shamble.
Friday, June 16th is my TAH date. I have an 18 week size fibroid with all the wonderful problems it causes. I have put this off for 2 years because of the fear of surgery. (Or post surgery ) Now the fibroid
has doubled in size and I now have to have the lovely abdominal incision.
This site is so wonderful. I have learned so much.My body is ready but my head is having trouble with it !! It sounds like
the anxiety is worse than the surgery. We'll see on Friday!
Good luck to all !!!!
I am 50 (almost 51)

Wow! All of a sudden I am a wreck!

Well, you may as well call me Sybil for all the mood swings Im havin'.

i can sooooooooo relate. My surgery is the same day as yours. And I know this sounds really trite, but I went shopping. I got a pedicure. Boy, did I feel special!
Of course, that only took up two or three hours but it was nice. Then, of course I bumped my toe on my truck door getting into it...my luck. I think my uterus is bad luck, so maybe it will change on Wednesday.

I have had nightmares, nausea, exhaustion...and when I saw my mother for the first time since I scheduled it, I started bawlin'. I go from happy and excited, to mopey and weepy, to nauseous and headeachy (doesn't help that I was going thru my last round of ovulation...Goodbye to that!)

Anyway, you sound a little better and that makes me happy. I know this sounds a little strange, but I spend alot of time on the games games games boards and that really helps the time go. You should join us!

kisses and best wishes to my June 20th sisters!!

Kwooe!

Wow! All of a sudden I am a wreck!

emichal - I am just waiting for my pre-op on Friday to see if I can have polish, if so, I am definitely getting a pedicure.

Since you bumped your toe, I think you need to get a massage to make up for the "injury".

Get the pedi anyway...just take the polish off before the surgery!

Wow! All of a sudden I am a wreck!

I am about 6 days out after my TVH, and actually doing pretty well, I am very tired most of the time and because I am home alone with my younger children I don't get to nap like I should. I walk frequently and drink tons of water. Yes, the waiting was the worst part for me, and about a week before my trip to the castle I started having anxiety attacks, my babysitter was in the hospital, my 21 yr.old son said he would help me but tends to be unreliable and since has been a no call no show, my mother was only here for 6 days and 2 of those days were before my surgery. And of course my loving DH didn't have a clue, one thing I have learnt about men, if they can't fix it they don't want to know about it. It's not that they don't care because they do but they can't make it better so they feel like they are of no help anyway. You are in a very good place and every experience is different. Good luck to you and we'll see you on the other side.

Wow! All of a sudden I am a wreck!

I'll be saying a little prayer for all of us hyster sisters having surgery on the 19th (Gemini star, spiritmaiden, tink2112, and a friend from another post, samila). Let's make a pact to say a little prayer for each other before we go into the OR.

Oh geez! I also told emichal that I would pray for her (just kidding, buddy, it's an honor to pray for a fellow smart alec)!

I'm sure we will be fine, and then we can tell all the LIW that "the waiting is the hardest part". Is it just me, or are you all tired of hearing that too?

Wow! All of a sudden I am a wreck!

Thanks lovecarats. I'm a smart alec too. I'm praying for all of us June 19 sisters. I'm not nervous though and I'm sleeping at night. This is remarkable for me. And happy birthday Kwooe. June 19 must be a good day to have surgery. Tink, Don't worry about being nervous. it's natural and normal. What is normal anyway? Don't answer that. I pray for each of hystersister, pre-op and post-op.
