Complex hyperplasia with atypia... again!

The results of my most recent D&C (#4) are in... complex hyperplasia with atypia has recurred.

I'm going back on to a mega high dose of provera again (20mg 2xdaily) for the next 6 months. I then go for D&C #5. If it's clear, I go on the pill. If it's not clear, he may want to try longer or he may recommend hysterectomy.

I did ask that if I wind up going to a hysterectomy, what type. He indicated that it would most likely be a laproscopic hysterectomy, removing the uterus and essentially leaving the ovaries and tying the tubes. I'm still getting used to the terminology for which type that is. Edited to add that he might have forgotten that I have uterine fibroids. I was just reading one site that indicated that uterine fibroids are an indicator for abdominal hysterectomy, so I'm not sure.

I've been off a bit on my exercise routine, but I'm back to working out like a fiend and eating as healthy as humanly possible to avoid potential weight gain.

What joy...

Angelnight
