Blood Test Results

Hi Sisters,
I got my Blood test report last evening from my blood sample taken a week ago when I was almost 5 weeks post op.

Doctor say im normal, my one ovary is working and im not going into Menopause...yay!!! Im so releived that im not into menopause just yet.

I had the night sweats 4 days after the op and then hot flushes at night till the 4th week. I had breast tenderness at that time, also. When the hot flushes stopped the headaches kicked in I used to get when I had my periods. So I suspect that they will continue each month.

I do have depression still, and cry every morning. I think it is from the trauma of the surgery and the feeling of loss as Im quite a sensitive person in body and mind. ( I never had kids.) Im trying to move forward though and have supplimented my diet with vitamins and herbs.
I had an emoional crash yesterday and hubby stayed home from work and took me out to lunch and that helped quit a bit as I have not felt like going out on my own and I have not as yet.

I have been doing 1km on the treadmill for the last 3 days at 4.5km ph. Today I upped it to 2 kms and 5 km ph. Its no longer hurting inside and I think I will be able to lightly jog soon. Excercise is good to help depressions.

Im slowly getting back into my Art work I do from home.
Thanks for reading Sisters:-)

Blessings Sisters

My dr told me 5 weeks was too soon to get accurate hormone levels, had them checked at 3 months. Your problems sound hormonal to me,I would ask for a recheck in in about 7 weeks.

Dear Karen
I'm glad you got good results from your blood work. I'm not sure how all this works but (((dawn))) could have a point. If you continue to struggle be sure to talk to your dr and have them checked again. Sometimes those test results will read normal but it isn't normal for you.
I'm proud of you for using your treadmill and doing all you can to help your depression. It's also so good to hear that you have such a loving and caring dh looking out for you. Many woman struggle with the sadness of not having children. Did you know there is an Aching Hearts forum on the site. You might want to go over and read about how some of the other women on the site are dealing with this heart break. If it would help you could post your own feelings.
I hope you continue to heal well in your body and in your heart. Thanks for sharing. Please continue to take good care of yourself.
's, Rita

Blood Test Results

Thanks Sisters

Well all I can go on ATM is that Im not having Menopause symptoms now and Im starting to feel better within myself. Another 2 kms this morning and faster. I guess if I start having problems again I shall ask for another test. I actually seen an Oprah show yesterday that was encouraging with women looking better than they did 10 years prior. It gave me encouragement to get my life going again and be healthier and thinner than the last few years.

Thanks for the link Rita. Im kinda coping ok with it I think now, I never had a real urge for children, but when the chance is taken away, you kinda think about it.

Anyway I have not had a chance to enjoy the benefits of having no periods yet and the problems with that, so that is something I can start looking forward to now I have got a lot of grieving out of the way. Didn't cry for the first time today.

God Bless Sister

Karen
