OMG! Thursday is the day! My doc and I originally decided to go straight for a TLH/BSO then she changed her mind on me (don't know why, exactly, but it was after the ultrasound which showed only a golf ball sized fibroid) and decided she wanted to do a diagnostic laparoscopy first. I don't want to go through this twice so I talked her into meeting me half way and I'm on the schedule for Thursday as a diagnostic laparoscopy with possible TLH/BSO! Please, God, make her go all the way! I'm so tired of being sick all the time! These periods are killing me and I want them to be gone! Quick question, if she goes all the way, how long will I be in the hospital?

I meant to say TLH/BSO. Oops! My nerves are showing! Oh, wait, I DID say it right. I'm a wreck! Does anyone know why you have to quit smoking 24 hours before a laparoscopy?

Deep breaths, you WILL get through it.

Stopping smoking is about the anesthesia and your lung function, I would imagine.
