Well sisters, today I had my second external treatment. It wasn't too bad. My first was a bit daunting because it made me realize ..hey this is for real I have cancer :'(. I felt a little nauseous yesterday and today I asked my radiologist about it and she said that it was probably a nervous reaction and that I shouldnt have many side effects at all The only one that she said could be of a concern in the later weeks is that of burning around the vagina , something like a nappy rash. Did anyone have this and if so what did you do to relieve it. Of course I am not having that no side effects remember . She also said that state of mind has a lot to do with the way you cope. I am trying to stay positive. Also , so much for visualizing while being treated .... here I am on the bed and it is over before I can visualize anything . thanks again and again for being here x x

Hi Robyn!!!
Its so wonderful that you have started your treatments. Sounds like today was better than yesterday and hopefully they will continue to be trouble free.

Its great that they don't expect too many side effects from it too. And it sounds like they are super fast treatments!! Gotta like that.

And the best part is that now that they have started you will continue without interruption for the full 20 sessions. Wow...that means by the first of June you will be all done! Thats not too bad at all.
Keep the good thoughts...there are a ton of prayers coming to you from all over the world from all of us here.
Lots of love!
M. xoxo

Hi Robyn,

Not only does the actual radiation treatment go fast so does the whole 5 weeks. I can't believe I have already finished my 3rd week. Glad to see that you are doing so well emotional. I have had problems with diarrhea and some burning feelings. No rash. Hang in there..you are on your way!

I'm so glad it's over that fast! But if you feel like you need that visualization (you did practice it forever, so you might need to feel like you did it for something), maybe you can visualize on the drive to your treatment (if you are being driven there). You know, like before the big game when all the jocks are saying their prayers and visualizing themselves running into the endzone . Or like a boxer or wrestler who wants to whoop the other guy. That's kind of what your doing--whooping the bad cells ! So do it just like they do ahead of time (but with the visualization you've been practicing), and get rid of those cells!

Hang in there! I so admire your positive attitude.
