Headaches and acne

I was wondering if anyone else is having more headaches after their hysterectomy. I have had migraines for about 3 1/2 years following a brain tumor diagnosis and 2 surgeries. But they were alot farther apart than they are now. Now, it seems like I get one about once a week. Also the medicine does not work like it used to. I also have a lot of acne and when I take anti-biotics for it, even small doses, I get a yeast infection. I saw dermatologist today and she says it may be 6 more months before it gets better. Not just on my face but on my upper arms. Has anyone else had skin problems and how have you dealt with it. I have been using proactive, which used to work for me, but seems like it is not anymore. I apprecieate any advice.

Headaches and acne

Unfortunately, surgery can wreak havok with our bodies and our hormones. It takes a while for our bodies to settle down and adjust to the loss of a major organ. It also takes a while to get over the effects of all of the anesthesia.

I'm sorry you are experiencing an increase in your headaches. Perhaps you could talk to your Dr about a possible change in meds for a while? Maybe find a dr who is knowledgeable about the affects of a hysterectomy on your hormones?

in there and speak with your Dr about all of your symptoms. There may be something he can give you to help you through this rough time.

Kay

Headaches and acne

I woke up yesterday with a couple of big zits.Haven't had to deal with that in years. I had my ovaries out and no HRT, is the acne related to my hormones leaving or something? I hope you get relieve for both your headaches and acne soon! J

Wow, I thought I was going nuts... All of a sudden...BAM...zit central was on my face. I have been using a zit be gone cream and it helps a little, but everyday a new on appears, bigger and badder than the last one. Glad to know it may eventually go away.
